Jason Wallen, RT

Jason Wallen is one of the most experienced Registered Radiographic Technologists in endovascular neurosurgery in the country. He started his career at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. In this setting, Jason became the lead of the Radiology Operating Room Department and the Interventional Radiology Department at Northeastern Hospital.

In 2009 Jason began working as a specialist in endovascular neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Jefferson is one of the busiest such departments in the country, and this experience allowed Jason to become one of the most well recognized figures in the area. During this time, Jason underwent advanced training to assume the role of “super-user” for the department’s three Biplane rooms. He attained additional training on advanced imaging and post processing techniques for intracranial stent visualization.

Jason quickly became a resource for his peers and eventually the Clinical Educator at Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences’ endovascular neurosurgery program.  He was responsible for helping train and orient the new employees of the department as well as consulting with the Jefferson satellite hospitals regarding the opening of their individual endovascular neurosurgery programs and the training of their staff.

In the Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island, Jason leads the dedicated team of radiation technologists tasked to deliver superior clinical care utilizing the most advanced tools. He is in charge of inventory and new technology evaluation for the center. He additionally heads our support group for patients and families, the only comprehensive support group in the South Shore of Long Island.

Jason was one of the pillars of the Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island, and participated in a lot of the decision making during the inception of our program. His energy and dedication are unparalleled.
